About FTCLDFFarm-to-Consumer Legal Defense Fund is a non-profit organization recognized under the Internal Revenue Code as a Section 501(c)(4) organization. A (c)(4) organization is classified as a "social welfare" organization, which means it must be operated exclusively to promote social welfare. To be operated exclusively to promote social welfare an organization must operate primarily to further the common good and general welfare of the people of the community. Sustainable farming and direct farm-to-consumer transactions further the common good and general welfare of all Americans. |
